Question by smile! ツ: Is there a job finder site for minimum wage pay?
I'm 17 years old, going to collage, need a job.
If there is no site, do I just go store to store asking for openings? Which ones should I try?

Sometimes the local newspapers (weeklies) have sections on lower paying jobs. Also, try Craig's List for the city where you are living.

  1. Experience.com is a good one because they have entry-level jobs specifically for students trying to build their resumes with little experience. All of the regular job sites (monster.com, careerbuilder.com, jobs.com, indeed.com) also have search options where you can look for jobs under the category "less than 1 year experience" or just do a keyword search for "no experience necessary". You can certainly go door to door. In my opinion, the best places to look are chains like Radio Shack, McDonalds, clothing stores, etc. Usually you only have to be 16 as long as you are mature. You can also get working papers from your state (ask your guidance counselor how) and these will help prove that you're old enough to work. Dry Cleaners are also really great places because it's a relatively easy job and you get to goof off when no one is around. You basically sit at a desk and wait for people to drop off clothes. If all else fails, you can always try finding babysitting jobs.
