Issue by jennykins: How several several hours is portion time employment?
I live in New Jersey and I am seeking to get a 2nd component time occupation and I'm just questioning how a lot of several hours for each week is deemed element time. I'm currently operating fifteen hours a week at my other occupation, and I'm going to college total time. Thanks!

usually anything under 30 hours is considered part time.

Generally anything less than 40 hours a week in considered part time.

Nice guesses gang. The federal government says 20 hrs. or less is part time and no benefits have to be provided. Over 20 hrs. per week is considered full time employment and the employer must provide benefits.
That is why you find a lot of companies working two part time employees to do the job of one full time employee.
